You’ll love the vibrant colors of this late-winter program! Music Director candidate Jacomo Bairos, Co-Founder, Artistic Director, and Conductor of the Nu Deco Ensemble in Miami, leads this concert. After an exciting opener by Chris Rogerson, excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet will immerse you in a world of passion and tragedy, as the orchestra weaves a dramatic tale of love and destiny. Then, piano virtuoso Terrence Wilson will cast his enchanting spell with Ravel’s G Major Piano Concerto, a composition that blends jazz-inspired rhythms with classical grandeur. William Grant Still’s reflective Out of Silence offers a brief rest. And finally, brace yourself for an electrifying climax with Ravel’s iconic Boléro, where the orchestra’s grand crescendo will have you on the edge of your seat, building to an unforgettable climax.
