Joined by featured vocalist&nbsp;<strong>Aoife O\u2019Donovan<\/strong>, the lively talents of these exceptional&nbsp;artists come together on stage to create a singular sound that\u2019s part composed, part improvised, and&nbsp;uniquely American&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;music so complex to pull off that the group likens it to a goat rodeo, airplane pilots&#8217; nickname for a situation in which many different things need to go right to avoid disaster. In the words of the&nbsp;<em>Los Angeles Times<\/em>, this concert&nbsp;presents \u201cunlikely musicians on unlikely instruments in concerts &#8230; that [are] part blues, part bluegrass and a smidgen of Bach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2011\u2019s Grammy-winning Goat Rodeo Sessions was the first step in this pathbreaking collaboration, producing music that NPR\u2019s\u00a0<em>World Cafe\u00a0<\/em>called \u201corganic yet composed in a way that only four deeply\u00a0talented, in-tune musicians could make it,\u201d hinting &#8220;at Appalachia, Chinese, classical, Celtic, and jazz influences.\u201d Now, the group reunites to perform a collection of all-new music, accompanied by a new album on\u00a0Sony Masterworks.
