High School

The High School Partnership Program features a quintet of GSO principal players who perform for and coach high school orchestras in innovative ways, followed by that school performing prior to a GSO masterworks concert.

A second phase of the program brings Symphony musicians into schools for weekly group lessons. This provides instrument-specific help to bring students to the next level, where they may try out for select groups and become student leaders within their ensemble.

The Greensboro Symphony is pleased to be collaborating with the Guilford County Schools on many programs including new initiatives in arts integration as well as the U.S. Department of Education’s Assistance for Arts Education Development and Dissemination (AAEDD) program.
